The KD Series generating sets are powered by the new Kohler-Liebherr diesel engines detailed in the preceding article.
Kohler said that the new KD Series will grow to include units with ratings of up to 4200 kVA and 4000 kW.
The current nodes range from 800 to 2800 kVA and 800 to 2500 kW, respectively.
The new units, which have been in production since last October at the Kohler plant in Mosel, Wisconsin, and the Kohler/SDMO operations in Brest, France, respectively, will be marketed under the Kohler and Kohler/SDMO names and sold all over the world in 2017.
