This engine specification guide is for the fifth-generation LT1 General Motors engine, launched in 2014.
GM has three engines that are designated LT1: All-aluminum LT1 engines use Active Fuel Management and Variable Valve Timing.
Direct fuel injection technology is also used in the engines.
This allows fuel to be injected directly into the combustion chamber instead of pumped through the intake runners. The LT1 cannot use Flex Fuel (E85).
An LT1 6.2L crate engine is now available.
It’s also worth noting that specific Corvette models of the LT1 had a dry sump oiling mechanism.
